Application for SBCC's Summer 2021 Data Science Fellows Program

Program Dates: June 20 - August 14, 2021

Application Deadline: Monday, March 15, 2021, 11:59pm
The goal of the summer immersive Data Science program at UCSB is to give highly motivated SBCC students the experience and opportunity to engage in real-world projects while collaborating with UCSB faculty and students. An early engagement in hands-on problem solving will foster a sense of belonging in the field of Data Science and provide a strong foundation for academic and professional success. Students in this program will be paid a stipend of $5,000, provided by a grant from the National Science Foundation. We are targeting SBCC students who have completed at least 1-year of course work at SBCC, including 6-12 semester units in Mathematics and/or CS and aim for a diverse and inclusive cohort. Applications are open to any major. First acceptances announced mid-April. All decisions made by beginning of May.
